About Ron
Ron spent 40 years helping to defend American lives, first as a U.S. Air Force weapon system program manager, then as a defense contractor in weapon system command and control modernization. During those years, he coached a middle school soccer team, served as treasurer of a religious society and Home and School Association president.

Now, in his retired life, he devotes himself to protecting lives on MD 210 and in all of Maryland.

Mr. Weiss is a founding member of the MD 210 Traffic Safety Committee which has met monthly since August 2017 with MDOT/SHA, PGPD and residents who live along MD 210. Working with Maryland Delegate Kris Valderrama (District 26), the Committee has successfully advocated for three speed camera bills, one in 2018, one in 2019 and one in 2023. With Governor Moore’s signature, Prince George’s County is authorized for up to six speed cameras on MD 210.
He is also the president of the Indian Head Highway Area Action Council (IHHAAC), a board member of the Tantallon Citizens Association (TCA), a founding member of the South County Community Roundtable (SCCR), a founding member of the Alliance for Greater County Transparency (AGCT) and a member of the Pepco BESS Citizens Advisory Group (CAG).
Ron has lived in Fort Washington for 37 years with his wife of 53 years, Georgette Weiss. They have six children and seven grandchildren, and call Maryland their home for life.
