Greg Cantori

About Greg

Greg Cantori has a varied background in the government, business, and nonprofit sectors. He
has held senior management positions for over 30 years, including owning and operating
Creative Housing Corporation, a residential construction and building rehabilitation company
for seven years, directing the nonprofit Light Street Housing, and currently, Little Deeds a
Certified Aging-in-Place Home Safety company. Little Deeds is the only authorized installer of
the innovative TubcuT in Maryland, which transforms bathtubs into showers for easy,
affordable access.

As the Past President & CEO of Maryland Nonprofits, Greg, along with an outstanding staff and
board, led the way in helping nonprofits achieve their mission of serving others and making
Maryland a better place to live. The Standards for Excellence TM  is a cornerstone of that effort.
He also led the Downtown Sailing Center in providing opportunities for children and adults to
learn to sail and for teens to become certified sailing instructors. The Center provides fully
accessible sailing for those with disabilities or disadvantaged backgrounds.
For over 11 years, he was Executive Director of the Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation,
providing grants of over $2.5 million in education and human services.

Greg presented a TEDx talk on our Quality of Life and served and advised many boards,
including as past president of Bike Maryland and One Less Car. He bike-commuted 50 miles a
day (totalling 144,000 miles) into Baltimore over 20 years. In 2018, Greg achieved an official top
speed of 58.2mph at the World Human Powered Challenge in Battle Mountain, Nevada. Setting
a new record for his age group in a Velomobile. 

Greg has a BA in Geography from UMBC and an Executive MBA from Loyola University.
